Question: About my little oranda once again…?

My little white w/ red capped oranda is acting strangely, sitting at the bottom of the tank, fins ARENT clamped, she isnt bloated or has scales sticking out but she seems to be having breathing difficulties, ie. rapid gill movement. The water ph is balanced to a good 7, there are two other bigger goldfish in there along with five little tiny fish (dont know their breed) and they all are acting fine. I’ve put my little oranda in a ‘hospital’ floater within the tank and shes just sitting there. What should i do now???
thanks, hopefully your gf can help me! :D
And she’s beginning to lie at an angle on her side! not totally on the side, just sort of leaning a little… :S hellpppp

Answer: Hi…Im the gf… so anyway you want to first make sure you are doing regular water changes, depending on what size tank…either 15% every two weeks or at least 25% once a month (siphoning from the bottom) and remember to NEVER do a water change and filter change at the same time (at least a week a part) You could have ammonia in the water which bothers fish…also are you feeding a floating flake? If so either switch to a sinking pellet or take the flakes and swoosh them under the water…goldfish gulp alot of air anyway and when you feed them stuff that floats sometimes they get little bubbles trapped in them…this is gonna sound wierd but get some frozen peas..thaw one out pop it out of its shell and break it in to smaller pieces to feed.. you may have to hand feed the sick one to make sure she eats it… she will just gulp it in if you hold it in front of her… you can give them all peas once a week as a treat! hope that helps!!
P.S. DO NOT USE REGULAR SALT FOR FISH!!! Non iodized salt is ok but NOT regular table salt! or just get aquarium salt if your not sure…if goldfish are the only thing in the tank then you can put 1 tblespoon per gallon, if other types of fish are in there only put 1 teaspoon per gallon and the ONLY time you have to put more salt in is when you do a water change…and however many gallons of water you take out, that is how many tble or teaspoons of salt you will put back in… salt is good for most all fish!! :)

Question: How to take photos, digital works?

I have an E-Volt 510 Digital Camera. I want to take pictures of about 10 "X18" watercolor and pen drawings on paper. I have a board of gray and white balance lens cap. I as a tripod. I was told that to achieve the best results in terms of color accuracy and exposure, it is best to take photos using the manual. Can you explain in a few simple steps to take these pictures, assuming that I am using natural light (in outdoors)? My goal is to download these photos to the Internet with accurate and vibrant colors including white paper. Thank you.

Answer: Take pictures in the early morning or mid afternoon. This will prevent the harsh and oppressive midday sun you can fix the image vertically. This will allow you to open your aperture as wide as possible and keep the entire image in the depth of field. You will also get a uniform illumination on the paper. The other suggestion that I may sound strange. When using the tripod, use the camera timer to take the picture. Pressing the shutter button will create very little vibration and seeking the best details of a minute can cause image blur. The timer allows these movements to stop before snapped the picture. Your cap White balance / gray board should allow your settings white balance accurate enough to give you the true colors.
