Question: Where can I get a battery for a Yashica FR II camera?
I recently acquired a very old, but very beautiful Yashica FR-II Film camera. It came with a ton of lenses, a couple flashes, a case, the manual, etc. It needs a battery though and it is so old, I don't know where to begin to look for one. Also, I am not familiar with film cameras, I know, it is very unfortunate. What types of film would you reccomend I experiment with first? Thanks!
Answer: My father-in-law has an old 35mm Yashica from the 60's. We recently went and found him a battery and had to go to a specialty battery store to find it. It was about $10 for the battery and I can't remember what the name of the battery was. I suggest you go to a battery store or a camera store. The camera store may not have the battery but they may be able to tell you at least which one you need. I know that when I looked up the battery B&H did carry one.

Question: light meter to use with manual mode cameras?I also use an old Nikon F2 film camera with a nonfunctioning Photomic meter as well as a Nikon D40 digital camera that I use with my old Nikon lenses, and in any case, I need to use a light meter. I bought a Sekonic L-358 Meters, and it is a little confusing. The counter is set up to ambient light, which apparently means that I take to the counter to the purpose and point at the camera used to be measured. The meter also comes with an attachment as "Lumigrid" means a device used to measure reflected light. It looks like most photographers do not even Lumigrid for the incident, probably have been using their camera-functioning light meter. What I would be better off, measurement, ambient or reflected light?
Answer: The ambient setting is also known as incident light. Pro S Many prefer this setup for accurate metering. If the use of old Lenses (and very new) to DSLRs the light meter i sonly a leader, if it works. The final determiantion comes from the test shots and then with the analysis Histogram of the exposure on the LCD screen. http://digital-photography.suite101.com/article.cfm/old_lenses_on_digital_cameras This goes back to medium format equipment with a Polaroid Instant film back for test shots for risks prior to use real film.

Question: What digital cameras should I buy / are out there?
So what options are out there for me? I'm looking for a $200-300 digital camera that is slim in size & can fit into a purse/pocket. I would prefer 5x Optical or more, though slim size may prevent this & I might have to settle for 3-4x. I just want enough MP to cover I'm flexible on MP; I just want something that can cover the standard photo sizes. I'm not looking for professional quality, but I would like clear pictures with crisp colors for both indoors and out. Batteries need to be rechargeable (rechargeable AA's or a battery special to the camera). The viewing screen doesn't need to be too large, just something bigger than stamp size and readable. The ability to switch to a non-digital viewing screen is a plus. Camera needs to double as a video camera that can also take sound with tolerable quality. Nothing spectacular Memory: Would prefer a type of memory that is common and not some obscure brand. Image stablization would be prefered as well as USB-friendly.

Question: compact digital camera, good in low light conditions and fast photo to photo?Any suggestions on a digital camera compact which is good in low light and fast when it comes to update Flash (lag between shots with flash in general)? I'd like to keep it under $ 200, but flexible.
Answer: I have a Casio Exilim Zoom 3x. E 'thin, I like it a lot. We got it for $ 150, maybe. was 2 years ago But then I do not know if they still do it. We got it at Target. It has flash and you can take the value of 3 minutes of video on it. You can do tones in black and white and sepia, there are 15-20 different settings you can choose. Daytime, night or weekend, a lot of people. I have tried all though.
