Question: Did anyone see the bright red, blue and green light show in the storm tonight in toledo?

we had a storm tonight in toledo, ohio. it came through between 8 and 9 pm. the sky lite up red, blue and green in several areas for about 15-20 minutes. it reminded me of the aurora borealis that i had seen while living in alaska. does anyone know what it was tonight. my children and friend saw it and so did my neighbors. any info would be appreciated.

Answer: The Aurora can be seen sometimes even all the way down to Mexico depending on atmospheric conditions.

“Perhaps it is just a coincidence but I have noticed that if there is a good geomagnetic storm brewing, the lenticular clouds over mountains take on some really unusual shapes and the sunsets and sunrises are supercharged with brilliant pinks and purples.” – http://www.spacew.com/gallery/image000650.html

BLU: Question primary colors – red, yellow. Thus, the use of modern technology, red, blue, green to make all the colors?

If red, yellow and blue are the three primary colors that make every other color, then why not use red, green and ywllow to make all the colors? It is perhaps the redundancy of green yellow and blue? Why not use blue instead of green?

Answer: red, green and blue are primary colors additives. Red, yellow, blue are the subtractive primaries. It 'difficult to read the wiki. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Primary_color

Question: In powerpoint, how can you change font color globally, i.e., for each slide, say from yellow to blue.?

It’s easy to change font color for a particular slide but, after trying various options, I once was able to do do it globally for all slides. Unfortunately, I didn’t write it down.

Answer: If you typed into the text placeholders (where it says Click to Add Title / Click to Add Text), then you can go to the slide master (View menu in 2003, View tab in 2007 –> Master –> Slide Master) and change the color of the type on the master. It should change the color on the slides.

You can also try to change the color in the color scheme. It’s kind of complex to get into here, but it might be worth checking PowerPoint help if you applied all the same color from the same swatch as you built your presentation.

A couple tips if you do have to change each text box individually…

1) Select the first piece of text and go to text color and set the color. From that point on, just select the next text box and click on the A where you get the text color – you don’t have to go into the color palette and select the color again.

2) You can use Ctrl + Y – I find it makes some of those repetitive processes faster. It is the command for Redo. It basically re-does whatever you last did – over and over again – until you do something else. So, select the first text box, pick the new color, select the text on the next slide and hit Ctrl + Y.

Question: Is it possible to develop color slides in regular pictures?

I have some leftover slides color of the 80 that I have developed. I do not know how or where to go because every place is digital now. Does anyone know if we can? And it is a dark room necessary? Thank you!

Answer: Lot http://aolsearch.aol.com/aol/search?invocationType=chstrip&query=prints+from+slides of places do, but it would be easier and less expensive to scan and digitally process … no darkroom required. I have a wonderful little slide copier that is located at the end of my lens digital SLR and I copy by regular light and adjusts the culture and everything I love in the computer. http://specialtyphotographic.stores.yahoo.net/slcounpro.html
