Question: Would a black chroma key screen actually work in photography? Is there such a thing?

Trying to find a chroma key screen and I found this:

http://www.amazon.com/Chromakey-Black-Muslin-Screen-9×15/dp/B001ATDY8U/ref=pd_ecc_rvi_cart_1

It would defeat the purpose of me having to buy a green chroma muslin and a black muslin separately, but would it seriously work?? I have never seen a black chroma key screen, just blue and green.

My thinking is that it would suck if the person wore black to a photo shoot and I would have to be extra cautious about what they wore.

Answer: Black just would not make sense to me because it is a frequently worn color, also found naturally like eyes and hair, plus the muslin I see seems to have a sheen to it, so it would be very difficult to light evenly..a major factor in clipping.

Question: How to import video from a JVC Everio camcorder in iMovie '09?

When I connect the camera and select the playback mode PC, rather than open a window for import into iMovie, it opens a window for import into iPhoto. When I launch iMovie, no import window appears (although all ay video tutorials which you should) and if I try to import from camera, opens a window to the built in camera, rather than the Everio. Definitely not intuitive! How do I to import the video? Thanks!

Answer: Make sure the camera is on and in playback mode before connecting it to the MAC. We hope that you are using a FireWire cable, USB but can be an option. Then launch iMovie and it should detect the camera and launch the import window in iMovie. If you still have problems, restart your Mac and try this new process. If all else fails, try to change the playback setting on the camera – is to say, do not use the how "PC" and see how it works. Good luck.
