Question: How can I transfer data from a Windows laptop to an Asus EEE using a USB memory stick?

A friend of mine recently bought an Asus EEE laptop. When he tries to transfer files from his Windows laptop to the Asus using a USB memory stick, no files are on there. It shows an .exe file and 2 folders – partition 1 and 2 but no files? I’m guessing it’s a Windows/Linux thing but wondered if there was anything we could do?

Answer: ask your friend to try a different USB device. if that doesn’t work, look up how to use a USB stuck with a linux machine.

or he could purchase an old copy of XP and put it onto the EEE, but that would be more pain than gain, in my opinion.

Answer: Assuming you HAVE installed the drivers according to the supplied instructions, open word, open document, FILE menu and PRINT choose printer

If you’ve NOT isntalled drivers, grab the CD it came with and the quick start guide and isntall the drivers

Question: What print settings you use to print photos on Kodak Photo Paper with Epson Stylus R310?

I can not be able to print the photos on my Epson Stylus Photo R310 uses Kodak paper, the colors are always wrong.

Answer: If you are using the kind of pigment ink on glossy Kodak photograph, the ink will be absorbed. If you are using dye-based ink on photo paper KODAK these settings normally work choose A4 paper to choose the best photo paper choose simple, instead of photo paper. print! (do not know why Epson has built this function, but the prints are clearer on how the photos on plain paper rather than photographic paper on how best picture)
