Question: decent, high quality accessories for Nikon D80–read details?
LENS: i currently have a 18-135mm lens. im stuck between getting the 50mm f/1.4 or 50mm f/1.8—the f/1.4 is a better aperture, should i get that one?? please help
a. skylight filter (what brand—i know i need a 67mm for the 18-135mm lens, and then one for the 50mm f/1.8 or f/1.4)
b. tripod–need to be able to support D80 +18-135mm lens + 50mm f/1.8 or f/1.4 AND a mini/travel tripod
c. case (i currenty have a 18-135mm lens + 50mm f/1.8 or f/1.4, the cloth, filters, etc –nikon brand CF-D80 case too tight fit for all these, need one with extra room and durable
e. lens cloth/cleaner
f. is it worth getting the wireless remote control (ML-L3)???
g. what’s a focusing stage vs. a tripod?? which should i get??
i would deeply appreciate it if you could answer all of my questions and provide specific items i should buy. i wouldn’t mind paying the extra money for nikon brand if it’s going to be better quality, however, im not going to spend TOO much, thx
Answer: I just bought a d80 with the 18-200vr lense and love it. Wish I had a faster prime though–it’s my next purchase. Here are my thoughts on some of your questions:

They are both good. For more info and too much information on everything Nikon go to:

a. skylight filter (what brand—i know i need a 67mm for the 18-135mm lens, and then one for the 50mm f/1.8 or f/1.4)
I bought a Hoya Pro1 digital..Buy online you’ll save $$. You may want to buy a step up ring so you only have to buy 1 size filter. I got mine here:
http://www.photofilter.com/hoya.htm

Take your camera and lenses to a camera store find the one you like and then buy online and save $$
e. lens cloth/cleaner
Any microfiber cloth will work. See Ken Rockwells take on this. You can pick up a small on ein a camera store for $5f. is it worth getting the wireless remote control (ML-L3)???

Question: Do you think this is a good package for the Nikon D40?I already have the Nikon D40, but im interested in this package. Do you think do well? 'm http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-Wireless-Control-Digital-Cameras/dp/B001IJ3G80/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=photo&qid=1257657224&sr=1-2 intention to use a tripod for night time shots courtyard and remote control
Answer: The remote is a good thing, the tripod is crap. Joking aside, the bag is worth more than the tripod. It 'a sad fact of life that good tripods are not cheap. There is one that is very little expensive for its quality that I use … you can get it at Amazon, but I think it is more convenient to New Egg … http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16830997652 And here is the tripod with the remote and a Lenspen … http://www.amazon.com/Dolica-AX620B100-62-Inch-Proline-Tripod/dp/B001D60LG8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1257721980&sr=8-1
