Question: Can I use my LCD TV stand mount on an LED TV?

I have my LCD sitting on a TV stand with a universal mount. Will the same mounting system work on a Samsung LED?

Answer: LCD and LED (really “LCD with LED backlight”) TVs use the same VESA mounting system. The part of the mount that actually couples to the TV is a plate with screw holes in a 200mm x 200mm square, or sometimes 150×200 If both sets have the same hole spacing, you’re fine. If not, there are adapter plates to go from one VESA mount size to another – in fact a universal mount should have come with such a plate.

Question: Do all over the range microwaves mount the same?

I am looking at buying a used Whirlpool microwave that was mounted against a wall to replace my Hotpoint microwave that is mounted over an island (under cabinets & cabinets on the side with a board covering the back). They are both 30″ wide. I’m wondering if the mounting parts are universal so I could use the same parts. The guy selling his says he only has the wall mount. Is this a difficult job? Thanks for the help!

Answer: You will want to examine the two carefully – many are different not just between brands but between models. But don’t worry, if you’re handy you can mount it anyway.

Question: Secure Digital memory cards. What´s the difference between High speed, Ultra II etc.?

I mean technical data of read & write speed. Which to choose for digital camera use ( 5 Mpixel CCD)

Answer: Faster cards will shorten the time needed to write the image file onto the card. However, the card is not the only factor. The speed at which the camera can process the images that you take, and the speed that it can write to the card are also factors. For most point-n-shoot digital cameras, the speed of the card is not the limited factor because the camera is slowed down by the image processing or is already writing as fast as it can, so a faster card won’t help. You should either try it out at a store to see which is faster or read reviews.
