Question: How important is the camera fit in your hand for a DSLR?

It seems like you have to go up alot in price to get a larger DSLR. Nikon D90 fits my hand the best — can get the pinky on the handle grip — but it is more than I’d like to spend for entry level. D5000 or T1i are more in my price range but they don’t fit as well in my hand. is this the kind of thing that if I go smaller and cheaper, I will regret it later?

Answer: Fit is THE factor when choosing a camera. Just ask any pro.

There is more you need to consider though: See which cameras menu is the easiest for you to use to make changes in ISO, camera resolution, white balance, mode switching and make EV changes (a camera with +5/-5 EV could be important to you).

Finally, take a SD card with you and test each camera at their highest and lowest ISO as well as when using the white balance that matches the light in the store as well as with it in the “auto white balance” mode.

Once you get home and are able to see the results on your large computer monitor, you will know which camera is better for your needs and expectations, not ours.

Take your time before you decide. Once you choose one, you will be married to that system for decades and the cost of changing to the other system will cost you nearly as much as a divorce

Question: Comparison between Nikon D60 and D80?

Hello, I have a Nikon D60, I've had it for about a year and I love it. The only thing that could do better, in my opinion, is an autofocus motor, which is why I am considering upgrading to the D80 in the near future. Is the D80 significantly older than his younger brother? I'd like something with a little more grip than the D60, as I have big hands. And how do you compare the weight?
