Question: back data to my PC from a digital camera that the tape used?

What is the cheapest / easiest way to backup data from my cam to the PC. It is digital, but it draws on some mini-movies DVM60 digital video cassettes. What should I do? Is there any kind of hardware designed for this or i need a video capture card in my computer? I also read in the manual, the photos on an SD card or stored in such. Cannot I do it to rely on videos, as well? btw Model: Panasonic NV-GS26.

Answer: The best way is to capture video via a FireWire port. If your camera it should be a digital Output have. If your computer does not have, then you can buy a Firewire card very cheap. You can use USB, but it is not recommended. You do not need a video capture card just software. Your PC should come with Windows Movie Maker, which combined make you sick to work. I will not be seen until the specs of your camera then the SD card, but if there like my Canon, you can record short videos on the card, although it is primarily designed for still images. Why is a minor type of coverage if your tapes be of much better quality.
