Question: Using 580ex II with EOS7d wireless transmitter for action?
I will be shooting some skateboarders at an indoor skate park tomorrow and will be using my 58ex ii speedlite to hopefully get decent results. What I cant figure out is how to disable the 7d's flash and still fire the external one.. wirelessly. The reason I want to do this is so I can position the flash on the side of the camera to shoot wide angles in portrait style without too many visible shadow lines and maybe also position the flash remotely. The problem is that the loading of the 7d flash seems to take about a second per shot vs the speedlite about 1/4 seconds. Therefore Id love to be able to shoot with remote flash at 4 frames per sec rather than 1. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks!!
My website is: bqimages.net ..if you would like to critique any of my work please feel free to do so!!Answer: I'm guessing you've already shot by the time I post this, but as others have said, if you want TTL & are using the onboard 7D popup as commander for the 580 remote, you'll be limited to number of shots you can take fast, as the recycle time of the pop-up is slow (to protect it from burning out).
In future, you might want to consider using manual flash (not TTL) and using radio triggers (RF602's are good).
I've used Yongnuo 560 flashes (about the same spec as a Canon 580 flash) - they cost around £60. The RF602 triggers cost £27 for one Tx & one Rx.
They'll keep up with about 8fps when used off camera at 1/8 power or less. Not quite the same as your skateboard shoot, but this was a swim shoot I did using 2x YN560's at 1/8 power, triggered by RF602's. I was shooting at about 4fps and the YN's fired every time.
BTW you have some great work on your site - very impressive.

Question: Pro Elite PS3 controller does not work?Pro Elite Wireless Controller just stopped syncing with my PS3. The PS3 includes the USB slot and shows him as a player, but the driver really does not sync, so I can not use it. Charging, the regulator said it was charging. I pressed the button on the receiver and the home button on the remote control that would normally be synchronized, but nothing happens, the two lights on the receiver and remote control just flash quickly. I tried to give as much detail as much as you can, hope that helps. Please, is there a solution out there?
Answer: About the power of a support site states the following: the problems of synchronization (initial synchronization) Confirm that the USB controller / adapter is properly connected to the console. Insert a paper clip or other small object on the small "reset button" hole in the back of the controller (located above to a label). Press the reset button to force the driver into pairing mode. NOTE: Make sure the driver is loaded or alkaline batteries are not drained before attempting this step. Press the Connect button on the USB controller / adapter to complete the synchronization process. - Maybe this could help? If not, I suggest you contact POWER A support.

Question: Traveling from NJ to Vietnam (luggage, carry-on, regulations)?
I am planning on a trip from the US to Asia to stay for for 4 months and I need help on what to and not to bring on my carry-on and other large luggages. I did some light research but could not find any solid answers (every site seems to vary on rules and regulations).
I need to take these things with me:
Portable electronics (psp, ipod, chargers, laptop, hair irons, other large games systems)
Cosmetics (mini lotions, perfume, hair gel (small and large quantities), nail polishes/remover, oils, mascara, silicone serums)Any tips on how I can take them with me (via carry-on or not it doesn't matter to me) safely and with minimal damage? I'm trying to give out some of my son's used games to some kids over there (in one piece). Do stuff get tossed around roughly? Should I put extra padding around anything? Can you can tell I don't travel alot?
Answer: try search on google
