Question: Wii remote trouble? Any suggestions?

Okay so I went to play the wii and I tried to turn on the remote – this remote has the wireless nunchuck attached – and it won’t stay on, I’ve tried pushing 1 and 2 alternately and holding them down, also tried pushing A button, also put in new batteries, idk what to do? And the other remote with a attached nunchuck with the wire was on and then stopped working shortly after the other one did? The lights will flash but will stop and shut off…
also the red button trick didn’t work

Answer: Did you sync them??

To sync them open the back of your remote (battery are). See a red button?? Well click that, and at the same time on your Wii below the power button is a flap (memory card).. Well there should be another red button inside of the flap. Click the remote’s red button and the flap’s red button. Your remote should be on now and working again.

How much will it cost to get updated maps for my navi, and how long will it be supported? I plan on driving the car for at least 7-10 years, will they still support map updates for my in-car navi for that long?

Answer: Car manufacturers come out with new map updates every year. For my Toyota and Lexus, it costs about $100, but it is not really necessary every year. Every two or three years is fine.

The nav systems that are built-in are more convenient and have bigger screens than the portables such as the Garmin Nuvi series — and don’t have to be plugged into the cigarette lighter socket — and don’t block windshield view. I have both, and prefer the built-in systems, though I wish it had some of the features of the portables.
