Question: Help me find a new digital camera for under $150?

Some bastard stole my Cannon SD1000 powershot a couple months ago and its hurting me. I have to use my moms old camera and it sucks. I need to find a new camera for under $150. Thats what I paid for my Cannon. And what I dont get I search for it on amazon and its $400. WTF I bought it for $150 and that was over a year and a half ago.

Anyways I am modeling this after my Cannon. It was really a good camera. What I want is

SD compatible
Not too bulky
Shoots in 640 x 480 video
comes with A/V cable
and takes decent picks.

I came close with this fuji one but I really want a A/V cable so I dont think I will go for that one.

I wouldnt mind upgrading on the newer versions of my camera. But all the ones I found were like $200. I am pretty strapped for cash now too.

I am thinking I might have to go on ebay for a deal. But if there are any cool cheap sites let me know.

It must be digital, and it has to have video, and must have a camera strap, and a flash and a tripod, and it must be able to take pictures of objects, and more than 21MP, and it must be less than $ 99, and it can not Canon or Nikon or Fuji or Panasonic or Sony, and it must be fast and take good pictures at night, and it must not be too big or too small or too heavy, and it fits in your pocket, and I want it be pink or blue or turquoise, and it has to be a camera, and it must be able to take pictures of small things like bugs and spiders, and it can not be old or used be, and it can not be a Polaroid.

Answer: I have one that has worked all this and more. It has an ISO of 102 400 (expandable to 409 200) lenses increases from all manufacturers, comes with a kit lens 14-400 f1.8, burst rate of 18 fps, and get an omelet in the morning. Oh, and it also takes 3D images, but I did not find that very useful option.

Question: How should a digital camera case fit? I have a canon sx100 si and a lowepro apex 60 aw case. Good combo?

I want a decent fit, but not too tight. This one has about 1/2 inch of room on each side of camera, but it appears to be held snug enough. I’ve read about people worrying about their screen getting scratched by sliding around, but it is super soft inside. I looked at both Canon and Sony cases, but they fit worse than what I have now. Let me know what you think.

Answer: The best camera case is one that almost touches the camera on all sides. I think that you have too much room. Are you sure that the camera doesn’t roll around. If it doesn’t you should be fine. If it does try to get one with less space. About the scratching usually the more room their is in the camera case the more it scratch. This is even true of extremely soft cases. The casing can rub on the camera and produce scratches.
