Question: HELP! I can’t format my micro SD card!!!?

Ok, so i need some music on my phone. so to put music on my micro sd card i need to put it on there from my pc… so i put it in and it says “the disk in drive E is not formatted would you like to format it now?” so i clicked ‘yes’.
then it says “the disk cannot be formatted.”

I’ve tried multiple things (been searching Google for solutions) but nothing seems to work.

i have 2 (one for my sister) 4gb SanDisc microsd HC cards, I’ve tried each card in two different card adapters, card readers, and two different pc’s

i’ve even tried a HP USB disc storage format tool.

I AM GETTING VERY FRUSTRATED!!!

can anybody help me?

i’ve tried formatting it in two different phones.

when i go to My Computer, and right click it and push format, it doesn’t do anything. (it acts like i haven’t even done anything.

Answer: Are you logged into the computer on an account with admin rights? That could be it.

Also, does it actually need to be formatted? I just dragged and dropped for mine, didn’t format (though the phone may have, don’t remember)

Question: Mobile Micro SD Question?

I have an LG CU500 phone and just purchased a 1GB SanDisk microSD / TransFlash card with adapter. Nothing happens If I insert the card in my laptop (1 years old Compaq Presario V2000) – I've even gone so far as disk management on my computer and it is not gone at all. When I SanDisk tech support all the men told me was that I needed to use an external hard drive / disk readers, but honestly, I do not want to buy. I wonder me if buying a USB cable compatible with my phone, I allow MP3 files to my phone. Can this work? Any other advice you could I would be great.

Answer: I actually happen to have the same phone number. I'm not sure why your card will not be displayed on your computer with the adapter, But yes, if you have a USB cable for your cell phone, the phone can be found to be able to transfer mp3 files. The phone is just like a USB Mass Storage Device. You see the possibility of enable this feature by going to settings, connection, USB connection is established, then storage. Hope this helps.

It Is a Transcend 4GB SD-HC.
No the lock switch is not on lock!
I just Bought it the other day And put it into my New 10.2 Megapixel FujiFilm Camera.
I am running Windows Vista Home Edition on my Dell 1525 Laptop and it has an SD reader on the front. whenever I put my SD in the front it shows up on my computer as Secure Digital Storage Device, but whenever i try to drag & drop files( Or Copy & Paste) it comes up with this message:
The Disk Is Write-Protected.
Remove The Write-Protection Or Use Another Disk.

What Do I do To remove the write Protection ??!

Answer: Because it is a mechanical switch, the only way to turn it off it to throw the switch in the off position. But you said you did that. Try it again, switch it on and then off again. Maybe you didn’t get the switch thrown all the way. If that doesn’t work, take it back to where you got it for a replacement!

Question: Is there something wrong with low-cost eBay SDHC cards?

How this 32 GB SDHC cards, which is $ 23. Thats about 1 / 4 to 1 / 3 the price than usual. Not seem to have a brand on it. But there is something that could be wrong? I mean as long as it works well? Answer: I would not want to risk it, the seller's feedback is low (IMO, anything under 99% is poor), and this is too Flights to be of any quality. Dude, you're putting the images on this precious thing. Do you really want to risk losing all your images in value? Card Ebay is guaranteed to be cheaply put together, and probably not satisfy the requirements, just get a name brand 8GB at that price and call it a day.
