Question: HP Pavillion tx1308nr tablet laptop screen protector: yes or no?
I have very recently bought myself a brand new HP Pavillion tx1308nr tablet laptop. My worry is that because the screen is set up not to need a special stylus (ie. it can be operated with fingertips, plastic pointers etc) you have to press down quite hard for a touch to register. Especially when writing, I feel that extended use would almost certainly damage the screen (me being used to the light touches of PDAs), but I have heard that some tablet screen protectors can cost an awful lot of money. What I am wondering is if HP have built the screen to be extra durable when using a stylus, or whether I would need to buy myself a screen shield. I have a feeling that it would increase the thickness of the already tough screen surface and probably reduce the visibility quality further, as the screen is slightly “grainy” because of the touch-sensitive layer.
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Answer: The first thing I’d do is calibrate the touch screen and set up screen preferences for pressure (clicks and flicks) This alone might solve your concerns about having to press down too hard:

The HP help site does indicate that you can use the stylus, your fingernail, or other pointed objects to perform click or flick actions. So I would imagine that the screen is durable enough for “normal” use. I would define normal as not using a railroad spike as your stylus

I also suggest you might want to contact the tech folks at HP for their input. If you’re anticipating a specific situation that might require a screen protector I’m sure they would be able to make a recommendation. Here’s the contact link:

Question: got the new iPhone 3G, I should get a screen protector? In this case a regular plastic or invisble shield?I have a free scren plastic my spirit protector h griffin case reveal, but I also had an invisble shield screen protector, the shed feelsmore ivnisble … strange … but yes that would slap oe i on? invisble reason im asking can only be made at once
Answer: I would go with the invisible shield. I have the iphone and even if it costs $ 20 its total worth. screen covers do not stay free at all. but if you are afraid you might mess up you need to buy the best and have them put up, because once its on your phone, its really hard to get off and you can not reuse.

Question: What can i do about these cats in my neighboor hood..? (MORE INFO INSIDE!)?
So my neighboor and her husband recently got a divorce and the cats were left with the wife and she now lives in my neighboor hood…well the cats run a muck through the neighboor hood tearing up peoples screens and one cat went into this ladies house and attacked there cat so bad they had to get its ear half cut because the bad cat cut it so bad
Is there anything i can do about these cats other than talk to the women who owns them cause we have talk to her many times and she says she will pay us back for the damage to the screens and that never happend and everyone else including me are getting sick and tired of these cats..it got to the point were people when and bought highpowered bebe guns to shoot them if they come on our property
Im not redneck you ass..i live in Northern NYCAnswer: Don’t shoot the cats, get some humane traps to capture the cats and turn them over to a local animal shelter (or call up animal control, tell them there are cats roaming around your property and they may come and do it for you). If the cats have tags/microchips the shelter will call up the owner who will have to come get them. Repeat the process a few times and the owner might eventually get the hint that her cats shouldn’t be left to roam around and cause havoc where they aren’t wanted.
