Question: Any advice on lenses for Canon Digital Rebel?

I have the EFS 18-55mm lens that came with the camera and it is quite good but, it is a bit lacking if you get out of auto or program modes. I got nothing but confused looking at Canon’s website for a better lens. Some will fit only certain digitals. I have all the 35mm film lenses I need so I’m not looking for one that fits both types of camera. However, I would like a lens that is not dedicated to the Rebel should I decide to upgrade my camera in the future. Right now I am looking for a wide angle zoom with large enough aperture to blur background. I haven’t been able to achieve this with much success with the 18-55. Any thoughts out there worth looking in to?

Answer: Well any Canon lens you buy from now on will work with any newer body Canon SLR. It might not be fully backwards compatible. When looking for a good wide angle a 12mm to 17mm is usually a good choice. Just keep in mind though Canon has a 1.5X magnification to factor in so that 17mm you just bought is a 25mm. If you want a lens that can blur the back ground and has great depth of field buy one that has a aperture with 2.8 or less. Normally 2.8 is all you will find on a zoom or telephoto lens. You can get a 1.8, 1.4 or even a 1 if you get fixed lenses. hope this helps. IM me on yahoo if you have any other questions.

Question: Why can not I clear pictures with my camera?

I have a Canon Rebel XTi. I have had no problems with other lenses, but the lens I use to take clear pictures in the habit when I get close to the object / person. I tried this same lens to the store with a test camera and done it I have made it something wrong? It is the Canon EFS 18-55mm lens. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Answer: If the AF turned on? Check the switch on the side of the camera. Another possibility is that you have your focus camera set to close for. See if you have the knob on the "Flower transformed "symbol. If your photos are in focus, but blurry, can use your camera too slow of a shutter. Try a higher ISO, with Flash, or set the camera to a (full auto exposure). I hope this helps.

Question: Is OLYMPUS better or SONY or KODAK?

I JUST WANT TO KNOW AS WHICH ONE IS THE BETTER AND GOOD FOR TAKING PRINTS. PLEASE HELP ME OUT.

Answer: Olympus is the best of the 3. It’s all about compression. The higher the compression, the smaller your picture file, but you get a lower picture quality.

Sony’s are horrible with compression. Kodak’s are made to be budget cameras that are easy to use. They’re shooting for that particular niche in the market. Olympus makes a good camera.

People who own Sony’s or Kodak’s, or any other brand will in general, like their own camera since it works for them. They haven’t had a chance to compare them side by side with other brands. I’ve worked in a store that sold all of these and we tested them all, priniting out pictures, and saw differences.

Question: Should I have a Canon, Nikon, Olympus or Sony DSLR?

I want to take pictures fast or fast moving objects and DSLR is the way EGT photos you want. I was going to get the Sony A200, but was spent in places that I wanted to be. I was going to get the Nikon D40, but it is exhausted. I was going to get the Canon 1000D, but it is exhausted. Nikopn now is neither the D60 or the Olympus E-420. What is the best camera to buy, considering I'm new in DSLR, I do not want to pay that much and I will used for construction of a combination of photography and sports (motor racing and football), so I, ll need a telephoto lens.

Answer: D40, for the money you really can not go wrong and the total number of lenses compatible with it is enormous.
