Question: How do I turn the flash on and off on my camera Lumix DMC-LX5?Half the time the flash is turned on and half of time its on, even when its dark. I thought it would have to adjust the light levels so it would not be on when it was dark, but this does not seem to be the case. There a way to manually turn the flash on and off?
Answer: If you keep the Flash element pushed into the camera body, not is active by itself, so that would be a way to keep people out. When you slide the button 'open' for the flash, opens it and, depending on which setting you use, can be automatic. I tend not to use the flash unless there is really no light at all because the camera is so great in low light conditions. When there really is no light, I have the pop-up flash and it works.
