Answer: It’s Called ” Color Swap ”

It’s when you swap a color for another, and you can change the color of anything for another, it’s a great feature, but it does have a little downside ( it sometimes looks really fake ).

All you have to do is put the SD750 in scene mode, and change it to color swap, and point and the camera to red, and press ok, and then point the camera to purple, and press ok. Make sure purple is on the right, because that’s the one you’re going to swap for.

I have this cool gun camera for Christmas, but I hate the color, so I want a skin, but I can not find one. I tried skinit.com and does not work. Its a Canon PowerShot A1000 IS series, very nice.

I am trying to cap a photo of an object with light behind it, but I want it to appear as if the object has a “halo” around it, as if the rays are just cut at the borders of the object..

Answer: There are ways in Photoshop to obtain this effect.

Why not try to do it the old-fashioned way. Place your object in front of a dark background and shine a spotlight on the object from below and behind.

To intensify the effect, you could strtch some ‘gauze’ over your lens. This will diffuse the light a bit. Just experiment.
