Question: Help me think of initiation/graduation ceremonies for Senior Women club?
My school has just began a Senior Women's club, and I am in charge of creating initiation/graduations and other ceremonies. The club will be somewhat like a sorority, and I am wondering if there are any places on the Web that will give me ideas for how to conduct such ceremonies. What should be said, good poems to use, how to dress, how to act, and things of that nature. If anyone has any ideas or things that would help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
Answer: We ladies always want an excuse to dress up, so make it a formal.
Have a few key speakers from the group-- those with more interesting stories to share. For initiations they can share why they wanted to join the group and for graduations they can talk about experiences they had while in the group/how being in the group changed their lives.
Give out welcome gifts for initiations and certificates for graduations.
Share poems from prominent women, talk about planned events, invite graduates to become active alums.
You can do rites of passage for entering and exiting members. Make up some thing they have to recite, or some task they have to complete.

Answer: Pinnacle (who I believe recently bought Dazzle) offers several products to connect a VCR or video camera to your computer via FireWire/USB and transfer footage for editing and burning to a DVD (or back out through FireWire/USB to a VCR). Below are some links, the first is to a grid of Pinnacle consumer products for transferring/editing, and the others are to Best Buy, where you can find these products locally. Most of these solutions include all the hardware and software you will need.
As for slides and negatives, it might be cheaper to purchase your own slide scanner than to send them out or bring them in to a photo center, depending on how many you wish to scan. I would call your local photo store and compare the cost to buying a scanner (http://www.bhphoto.com has decent prices; as an example, a Konica Minolta DiMAGE Scan Dual IV, 3200dpi, 35mm, Film Scanner for $229).

Question: Can you convert negative slides projected from a digital printing?The guy who used to be used by teachers conference
Answer: Use a film scanner and covert digital image files .. then printing local laboratory ... or can simply be printed directly on paper in the darkroom
