I'm going to buy a Nikon D40 SLR.
I have already been to a camera store and used one. I loved it.So my question is, Where should i buy it from?

Should i cough up the extra $40-something to get the 1yr warranty on this camera?
If I do end up buying the D40 from Adorama, where is a good place to buy a warranty for this camera?Answer: I think people have given you some good options. I believe Adorama sells third party warranties for their cameras as well.

I REALLY want one but i dont know the first thing about them? HELP!?
Answer: They are no longer being made, so every single one you find will be used. Polaroid is stopping production of the film, so that will be harder to find. The film is expensive, and you only get 10 pictures per pack. Stick with digital and print out your own pictures.

Question: Where do they sell polaroid cameras?
Does anybody know where they still sell polaroid cameras that work and are for pretty cheap? Please don't give me answers like eBay, Amazon, or tell me you'll sell me it. I'd prefer an actual store. I'm willing to spend 200 to 300 dollars, but if there's any for less money I'll sure consider it.

donkeyeyes:To be honest I don't really have a reason. I just prefer polaroid cameras over digital. I'm sort of a fanatic over the mid and late 1900s, and I've just always really wanted one. My parents had one when I was younger but I have no idea what happened to it.
Answer: unfortunately what you are asking for is impossible as Polaroid has stopped making those cameras years ago... so no store will carry them anymore... your only choice is the used market of ebay, amazon, craigslist, word of mouth...
Banshee... no they do not make them right now... Polaroid said it will bring them back possibly sometime in 2010 but as of right now, there are no new Polaroids on the market... there IS a Fuji instant camera that resembles the Polaroid, but it's not THE Polaroid... and fashion industry??!!! why in the world would they use it in the fashion industry??!!!! that makes absolutely no sense...
