Question: Help with invitations?

I have two ideas for wedding invitations.

Idea 1: I bought some gorgeous fabric on a holiday in India and I thought I could glue this to the front of the invitation. I saw some birthday cards that used this idea and they were very nice.

Idea 2: Creating ‘mini photo’ albums (in the old fashioned style with black pages) and printing (in sepia tones) small pictures of my grandparents wedding photos, my fiancee’s grandparents, my parents and his parents with the invitation message on the last page.
I had imagined not having actual photo alums but bkack card cover with black paper insede so it would be light enough to post. The costs would be the cost of printing the photos and cost of black paper and card. The fabric invtations would only cost the carboard because I have already bought the fabric. If I don’t use it for that iw ill probably turn the fabric into cushions.

Answer: Both of your ideas sound wonderful. I guess it would depend on the type of wedding that you are having. If it a more traditional wedding I would go with the second idea. If it a more modern wedding then the first idea would be perfect. I love the second though, it includes both family histories.

Question: Digital photography photo editing question?

okay so does anyone know the name of the really good program that you can do just about anything with it when it comes to editing the picture?
like adding grain or taking away red eye or borders n signatures plus WAY WAY more.

But I dont know the name of the program and i want to download it.

Does it cost money?
If it does, does anyone know the name of a program that’s good but is free?

Answer: You SHOULD get Photoshop, it isn’t free in any aspect of the word, it’s quite expensive. You can do practically anything on it, accent colors, you can make things black and white, add backgrounds, and do much more :P .

However, if you can’t afford to pay for photoshop, you can get an absolutely free software: photoplus, i have it, but you can’t do that much, compared to Photoshop. Photoshop is pro.

Question: I recently started doing some digital photography, in collaboration with the photos, my computer runs slow, why?

I might add that I'm running everything on my Dell, which is a bit 'on the town with some updates. First, the computer has an internal hard drive, which is 80gig, I have an external 1 TB Seagate, 2 gigs of ram, and the original processor that came with the computer about 5 years ago. I'm thinking I need an updated processor, but not I'm sure. Thanks for their help.

Answer: If you're shooting jpeg then the computer must be able to manage the size of file. 2 gig of RAM should be more than enough with a Pentium processor. If you are shooting in RAW format that is another story. RAW files and TIFF files are converted are much larger than that can stress most systems. The typical TIFF file is 28-50 MB in size, while the typical Jpeg is about 3MB. These dimensions are for Typical DSLR that will be smaller than a point and shoot. With a computer 5 years may need to update the same, but I think it would handle Jpeg files.
