Question: How i can lock the ISO and shutter speed with Nikon D40?
How i can lock the ISO and shutter speed with Nikon D40?
Answer: First, change to the shutter priority mode. (it’s the S on the dial) From there you can change the shutter speed to whatever you want and it will not change. Hold the +/- button down and turn the wheel to select. Other wise if you want complete control over the shutter speed and aperture change to manual mode. Then go to your iso menu and select the speed you want. So long as its not on auto it will stay put until you change it. Good luck and hope this helps some.

Question: Why custom shutter work my Nikon D40?I just bought a Nikon D40 and I have a purpose for it yet, but shutter not working, although there is no lens?
Answer: It would, except that digital camera makers put in locks Security cameras do not work unless the memory card inserted, the battery is charged, and no lens attached.

Question: Anyone know of a negative scanner that doesn’t require a film tray for Spinner 360 long panoramic frames?
Every scanner I’ve found requires film trays which limit the length of each frame to traditional sizes as well as hiding the film sprockets (an exposed artistic element I’d like to keep)…
Answer: It looks like it uses a strip of film equal to 4 conventional frames. Um… that’s roughly a 15cm long negative.
Yeah, the Epson V700 can handle that. So can the much cheaper V600 that I use.
V600 specs: http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/consumer/consDetail.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&infoType=Specs&oid=63084673&category=ProductsThe Epson V500 (recently discontinued?) is even cheaper and can almost handle that in one go. You’d have to scan the negative as 2 parts and stitch them together in Photoshop or so.
The V500 is just $150: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/496399-REG/Epson_B11B189011_Perfection_V500_Flatbed_Photo.htmlThe sprocket holes aren’t a problem – these scanners are designed to handle medium format film which is much wider.
Epson scanners all come with their own software but I prefer the results I get with VueScan: http://www.hamrick.com/

Question: What is a negative scanner and how it works?I've never heard of them, is what stores use to print your photos? Anyway I'm interested in it if you scan my negatives to my computer? Thanks guys.
Answer: Photographers professionals are used to convert the old film to digital. They can range from $ 100 U.S. for several thousand dollars. You can also find some scanners regular with a "transparency adapter" which will search for film negatives and slides. If you are not going to professional photography, I'd recommend one of them.
