Question: circular polarizing filter?? Can you leave it on all the time?
IS this a type of filter you can just screw on and forget about?? Can it be used indoors as well??
Answer: You lose almost 3 stops of light when using a Polarizer. It is generally used for sunny situations only.
You can use clear filters all of the time. Inside and out as they have a zero filter factor rating. http://www.adorama.com/TFW55DIGUCLR.html?searchinfo=Tiffen+55mm+Clear+Glass+Protection+Coated+Filter

Question: What type of UV / polarizer filter should I do for my Rebel XSi?I'm curious because I am buying a Canon Rebel Xsi for Christmas and was curious if there is a big difference in the UV filters, and if so, how do I know which one to get? (Question stupid, no doubt.) Also, the same question goes for the polarizing filter. Any and all information on this would be greatly appreciated! Oh, also, would this filter UV http://www.amazon.com/Tiffen-58mm-UV-Protection-Filter/dp/B00004ZCJI fit this camera?: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0012Y6HC8 / ref = ord_cart_shr?% 5Fencoding = UTF8 & m = & v = ATVPDKIKX0DER glance
Answer: In theory, you will need a filter that is equal to the diameter of the wire at the end of your frame. This is usually indicated by a symbol ø narrowly wide. The reason I say in theory because its often much cheaper to buy filters for the greatest goal you have threaded or plan to become, then use adapters step-down to fit everything.
