Answer: All digital cameras keep track of the date and time a image file it recorded. It is saved in the image files EXIF data ... it also included the camera model, f/stop, shutter speed, whether or not the flash went off and other data.
There is no longer any need to put orange or red data on a perfectly good photo. If you need to know the time and date the image was shot, it is all on the original image file.

Page 11 indicates that you can use the DIGITAL zoom but says nothing about optical zoom. I have an earlier model and could not zoom while making videos.
The time between pictures will depend on a) the picture quality mode selected and b) the complexity of the image being recorded.
Typical non flash delay was reported as slightly over 2 seconds (without flash) and up to about 4 seconds with flash.
I could not find a store selling the model 1000 anymore (it is two years old) but the model 1010 which is almost identical is still selling new for about $175~200 on Amazon.
You could check Olympus America's on line auction site for similar models, they often have excellent deals on refurbished units, scuffed packages and demo units.

Question: Does anyone have an Olympus FE or Stylus? Which one should I buy?I am looking at the Olympus FE-340 and the Olympus Stylus 840 or something else in that price range ($ 180-200). I just need to hear some personal experiences with one of these cameras, or maybe someone can tell me the main difference between the Stylus cameras and Fes. If you have any other suggestions for me, please list those as well. My priorities are good zoom, good quality overall image (noise, sharpness, color). Things are not much care shutter speed, duration, and resolution than 8x. Thanks in advance!
Answer: I think the only difference between the Stylus and FE-series is the design of the body. The stylus is a wedge-shaped (I have a 740 and is truly comfortable to use) and each model is usually in a variety of colors, while the FE-is more utilitarian, and is probably a step above the Stylus series. The Olympus website ranking each in: "Easy & Fun - Our FE-Series cameras pack in cutting-edge digital technology Slim design and easy to use. It does not matter if you're a first-hand experience or an experienced digital camera owner - these cameras are easy and fun "... and". You get Design and Performance in a camera Olympus Stylus. They provide the latest technology "point-and-shoot in sleek bodies. You take great photos with these ultra-compact, stylish digital cameras." With this budget, I really do not have much to choose from. Only the Stylus 840, Stylus 830 and FE-350 Wide drop close to $ 200. The FE-350 Wide shaves some of the telephoto lens so that it can go broad-side wide. If you are looking a bit 'more flow, the Stylus 840 or 830 may be for you. The only difference between the 840 and 830 seems to be the size screen (840: 2.7 ", 830: 2.5") If you are willing to consider other brands, take a look here:.
