Question: How good is the Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED-IF AF-S VR DX Zoom-Nikkor lens what kind of shots can you take?
I just bought a nikon D40 and am looking at the Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED-IF AF-S VR DX Zoom-Nikkor lens. I go to a lot of nascar races and want to be able to take some action shots. Is this a good lens for action shots and or action/distance shots or do i need something different lens wise. Iwas told the d40 was an excellent choice for sporting events for up-close and distance/ action shots with the right lens. just want to make sure before I spend 800.00 on a lens that does me no good.

Answer: Good luck finding the lens, as it is indeed popular. I've had mine for almost two years now and it is a fine do-it-all lens. It is probably not up to real pro standards, but there is not much wrong that you can't work around. It's not the world's PERFECT lens, but it is not too shabby. Go here and read Rockwell's review:

Go here and look at the sample images. Click on them to view them full screen. If you click at least once in the white space, your cursor will turn into a magnifier when you scroll it back over the image. Click again over the image and it will zoom to 100% size so you can really examine the image.

Question: What should I look for when buying a second hand Nikkor lens?Hi, I will buy / watch tomorrow a second hand lens, to be exact, it is a Nikkor 18-200mm VR, im kinda new to this, so what should I be careful? Thank you
Answer: Just make sure that the owner has used a filter in front of him ... so there are no scratches or abrasions on her. Make sure that focus and zoom with any corrections or things like that.

Question: Do I have what it takes to model?
I am 19 I am 5 8" I have a slim and very define body! Six packs biseps etc.... I wanted to start modeling and just to take pictures. I saw in the internet that to be a run way model you have to be at least 5 11"! This pictures were takend with my 7 megapixel camera.
Answer: You could do print work. Find a reputable agency (do research prior to making an appointment) and find out where you would fit best. Also, remember that your agent works for you, not the other way around. So, if something should not feel right, get out as soon as possible. Good luck to you.

Question: I have a Nikon digital camera that seems to give a message of 'The batteries' every time you change ..?I storage my digital camera in the center console of my car for a long period ('when I found an interesting shot'). The extended memory cards in digital cameras ever go wrong? I have a 1500 card in my camera and although it is very likely that the problem was caused by the way I memorized the camera, I tried to change the batteries and put new ones and you receive a message that says 'Low Battery' and the camera does not work. The camera is a Nikon cool Pix L3 5.1 megapixels and I have in case the store is one that has a hard body like a vinyl suitcase zippering not like you would see in an airport that reflects most weather conditions. I can not use store-bought rechargeable AA batteries instead of normal?
Answer: Even Rechargeable batteries can get to the point where they hold a charge. May need to get new ones. Usually if a camera is able to use std. rechargeable batteries will also enable you to use std non-rechargeable batteries (but that's an option more expensive to keep replacing them). Do not store the camera in the car. Cameras can be damaged by extreme heat and cold. Cars can get extremely hot in the sun - in any part of the car, not just direct sunlight). They become as a slow cooker. It 'good that bring a camera if a shot pops up. But take the camera with you (at home, purse, etc.) and just leave the camera in the car while you are driving places.
