Question: What is the best nikon or canon digital SLR camera?
I need a good nikon or canon digital SLR camera for a beginner that is easy to carry around.
Thanks,
TastesLikeCandyCanesAtChristmas!Answer: The top rated entry level SLRs are Nikon's D40, D60 and D80 and Canon's Xti and XSi.
The best thing to do it trying them all in a store, you'll know which one YOU like best. Personally I like them all, but leaning somewhat to the Canon XSi. But it's a matter of what you like and what you want to spend on a camera.
The D40 is the least expensive and still a favorite for a starter DSLR.

NOTE you are buying digital SLRs, preferring the brand is large number of features, the variety of lenses available, and if the AF motor is built into the Dslr Body or lens. There are many many brands to choose from. Nikon Canon, Sony, Pentax, Olympus

Answer: Good for start opening f / 2.8 are expensive, as it allows a faster shutter speed, which is great for sports. From the list given by the Nikon 24-70 and 17-55 are the best at the moment. But I would stay away from them just because of the price unless you have the money by all means do so. If I had to get a goal on that list I would get a 16-85 allows a good amount of bandwidth range of about 24 on one side and then extends to about 120 at the end that makes it the perfect stand-in around unless you include the Nikon 24-70. Also available Nikon 18-200 but I've heard a lot of mixed reviews, and for the 24-120 still worth listening to something good to mention never used or heard much about the 24-85. I've heard a lot of great things about the Tamron 17-50, but for me I think it need not go far enough. My suggestion is to be the Tamron 17-50 mm f / 2.8 just because it has an aperture of f / 2.8 or get the 16-85 which is an extremely large target that is a bit over priced. But if you have the money the Nikon 24-70 mm f / 2.8 is worth the price.
