I want to be able to take pictures objects close to the wide-angle lens, like a rock, and also show the mountains and landscapes in the back and keep everything in detail, giving a feeling of how to just walk right into the picture. What would be the best wide angle lens to use? Im using Nikon D80. 10-24mm better?

Answer: I have the Tokina 12-24mm. Its nice and solid and feels really well built. Very satisfied. You can get up close to a rock on the ground and get some great perspective. The 2mm in more with the Sigma 10-24mm does not sound much, but these corners!
