Answer: It will use ANY “SD” memory card. (Secure Digital) I recommend a minimum of 512 MB and you’d be happier with 1 GB. Any brand will work, but I’d recommend you buy either Sandisk or Lexar, which come with 5 year or lifetime warranties and come with image recovery software.

i just got a nikon d5000 camera from costco and on the box it says that the camera comes with a 4GB memory card, but i can’t find it! could anyone please help me?!

Answer: Have you checked in the camera? If it is in the camera, yours may have been previously used and returned. If that’s the case, consider taking it back tomorrow and exchanging it for a unused one since I’m assuming that is what you paid for.
