Question: Can I put any filter, such as UV or CPL on Leica D-lux 4? with or without adaptor.?

Can I put any filter, such as UV or CPL on Leica D-lux 4? with or without adaptor.

Answer: I did some quick research and I read one reference to someone saying they put a 46mm filter on their Leica D-lux 4 but when I read the camera specs for the camera it does not list that it uses filters that size? The there is mention of a adapter, the first link would be of special interest.

Also the photo.net website I listed below is to a website that is a large online photo community that includes discussion forums where you can ask and perhaps find someone who can provide an answer.

Hope this helps.

Question: D40 users?

Well, I bought into the hype and bought the plane old D40. I was buy the D80, but after a strong comparison dpreiew comparing the two extra featers the D80 is not worth it and would be a state purchace and I already done once this year when I bought my wife a Leica. I made my decision. The only minor concern I have is that the device will be small / light for my taste but it can be a breath of fresh air since I'm shooting with an N90s. I held the camera at the Ritz and it was like a pack of cigarettes hoding but given the price of B & H, it was too difficult to pass. I had the kit 18-55mm and a new bag filters (Ihave cards) for less than 600 dollars, I'll put the 18-200mm VR which seems to be an ideal target for every shooting is still very expensive. Am I pass the test to enter the digital world) I think I did very well. I did not know they took a handful of food for D40 Thanks!

Answer: You have a good plan here, this should cheer you up some: http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d40.htm
