Question: What can I use the batteries for my Kodak Easyshare Z712?

I have a Kodak Easyshare Z712 and is very picky about what batteries work with. The manual recommends a KLIC-8000 rechargeable lithium ion or lithium AA. I bought brand new lithium batteries and you see the low battery sign. If I could answer with any / all of the batteries that my camera can use that would be greatly appreciated.

Question: I cracked my screen and broke the lens gears on my camera if i get the parts could i replace it?

I have a Kodak EasyShare V1253 (HD) and i like i said i broke those things… I was planning on going on ebay and getting the same exact camera the doesn’t work but has the parts i need…. Could i take it to a camera shop for the things i need to be fixed and could the do it?? Or do i need a whole new camera because i love my camera!!! This was a total accident!!

Answer: It certainly is possible and it doesn’t require expensive tools. I’ve fixed many a camera with nothing but a small screwdriver and tweezers. That being said, is it worth it? That camera can be purchased for under $100. A replacement LCD will cost you at least $50 and a replacement lens probably can’t even be purchased. To replace the lens you’ll have to go on eBay and find someone else selling a broken camera of the same model with a good lens (probably $20 + shipping).

Question: Starting a High School darkroom?

My audience Magnet High School has a range of courses that deal with digital design, but nothing specifically geared towards photography. I want to start a darkroom. We have empty rooms, and I would argue and teach after school classes, so the finding of an instructor, space and maintenance would be no problems. However, money is a problem. Where can I get a grant, A, for a project like this? If no sense to contact a large company like Kodak? Also – what enlarger would be best for children to learn on? I would like four or five for the space to acquire.

Answer: The attempt to find running water and the question of disposal of chemicals can be your biggest problem be. I would recommend the Beseler 23rd They are plentiful, cheap and can do both 35mm and 120.
