Question: What is a good camera for an amateur who wants to go professional? What are some good studio cameras?

Im still in school and just use a Canon Rebel GLL, takes great pictures, but I wonder what are some great (but not outrageously prices) larger format cameras? What equiptment would you suggest to start a small studio?

Answer: I do not know what type of photos you want to shoot. I would definitely get a DSLR. The cheapest you can get for about $ 500. If you want to go professional would probably be dissatisfied. I really want a Nikon D200. A little less than $ 2000, but a real good camera. Metal body and is a professional camera in all but in price. Another very good camera is the Fuji S3 Pro If you wait a few that are coming out with the S5 Pro, which copies the metal body of the Nikon, but the Fuji has a better sensor digital image which gives a better range of lights and shadows. (dynamic range) also prefers the colors of Fuji. I had one of its greatest cameras and their interpretation the color is beautiful. A good place to find reviews of the camera and many different cameras forums is good http://dpreview.com

I want to set up a photography studio, i want to paint half white and half black and i dont want to use backgrounds for these colors. What is the best paint to use? i want it to be the deepest darkest black, and the brightest white but it can’t be reflective.

Also, if you just want to do as a hobby, Where can i find a dark room can be used in Glendale, California? Is there any place that may be developed photos? Oh, I'm interested in photography black and white, so I have access to dark rooms and developers. thank you very much!

Answer: Last year it cost me about 3000.00 to start my business. That included a brand new digital SLR and a home study with lights and backdrop. I already had a computer and editing software photographs. If you do not have the things that will cost another 2500. Look on eBay, you can get some really impressive deals.
