To response to the people telling me it was a scam, I did actually enter a competition, and got a $300 gift voucher as the prize.
I’m not so gullible as to reply to hoax emails and such.

Answer: This is a very basic marketing ploy used by numerous photo studios world wide.

You have “won” the opportunity to get your photo taken. That is all.

They will then give you the hard sell to try and sell you hundreds/thousands of dollars worth of prints which you would not normally buy.

It is upto you entirely what you do.

Call them and find how much their prints or print packages actually cost.

It is not actually a “scam”. as you have effectively won a photoshoot.
It is then upto you whether you actually buy any of the shots at the end of it.

This is a tactic used by any number of companies not just photographic studios.
It is a valid marketing tool – albeit it is preying on the naivety (and greed) of people who think they are going to get something for nothing.

It is nothing whatsoever like or remotely connected to the “419″ scams or the like.

Question: Running for school president and i want to make a photo with my headshot and American flag backdrop. How? =)

I want to make a Colbert Report’ish hopefully amusing photo of my headshot with the American Flag behind it in the background. Maybe a bald eagle flying gracefully in the top corner.

Answer: I would suggest that you have your head severed at the neck and then get someone to prop it up in front of a flag to take a photograph.

Question: How can I make a homemade white background that is?
