Dvd Camcorder

Question: How do I clear videos and pictures off my rewritable dvd camcorder disk?
I have some rewritable DVD camcorder discs and now that I have some clips and pics on it, I wanna erase them. If the discs are rewritable I can do that right? and if so, how?
Answer: STOP!
If you have a SONY HandiCam, you should use it to "erase" the DVD-RW. I learned the hard way.
Use the camcorder to do the erasing.
A computer "can" erase the miniDVD, however, put it back into the HandiCam and it won't work.
It is just the way it is. I called support and they told that.
Now, maybe Sony wised up and their newer camcorders will work on DVDs that have been erased on a PC. Who knows.
The same may apply for finalizing too. Not sure on that. I could only get the camcorder to finalize a DVD disk.

Question: Is it a DVD camcorder worth the money, or I stick with a regular digital?My wife and I are in the market for a camera video, and we realized that going directly to a DVD in the camera. I heard that they skip and such, so it worth it? Should I get a regular camera digital video?
