I have recently bought a Topcon RE Super/Super D 250 film Magazine and I was wondering if the Honeywell Pentax Motor drive (motor drive + battery grip) would fit under the film magazine. Or is the Honeywell Pentax Motor drive only for the camera? Like can I attach the film magazine to my Topocn RE camera and the Honeywell Pentax Motor drive all together?

Answer: No. That is like asking if your Chevy can use Toyota pistons.

You will have to look for a Topcon motor drive.

At one time (1960′s and early 1970′s) it was one of the recognized professional 35 mm SLR cameras, along with Pentax (1964) and Nikon.

Pentax and Nikon just had more lenses and other accessories available and were picked by many papers as their cameras of choice, so Topcon faded into the sunset. Canon’s battery grip – magazine can hold alkaline batts. Nowhere is it suggested that NiMH can be used instead. Why not? Can NiMH be used in these grips?

Answer: As long as it’s the same size, nimh can be used in place of any battery.

Question: Why can not Nikon and Canon make their high-end digital SLR compact professional?

Why not make the D3 and EOS 1Ds Mark 3, the same size as the Nikon F6 and EOS-1V and only include a removable battery grip?

Answer: because people who buy high-end professional digital SLRs do not want to compact. I buy these and be mortified if they did. The last thing we want is a subcompact camera Dinky little off my goal weight and leans back in my hands because the camera is light and small to offset it.
