I bought a system from digitalstormonline and it works really well. I want to turn off the strobe lights on it but when I go to sleep and the pattern is always enabled. Sometimes I leave as downloads on some MMO or software trial but the light is really bright.

Answer: Depending on the type of lights they use on there may be an off and on switch on the back of your computer to the bottom where your card Video or modem. Look there for a switch. Just do not tip the person who is right next to your power cord. Good Luck HTH.

Answer: They are made for digital bodies so it should be safe for your camera. I haven’t used one myself but I’ve seen people use them as off-camera flashes on flickr. You could ask your supplier about the voltage or if you want to be 100% sure, put some freshly charged batteries in the flash, turn it on and measure the voltage on the contacts on the foot with a multimeter. If you don’t have/don’t know how to use one I’m sure you can find a friend that has one and knows how to use it.
