Question: westerm digital external drive?
my 250GB west-digital external drive has failed. The power goes to the light but the HDD it self doesn't start up, any ideas beside warranty void and hooking it up as a internal slave?
Answer: go to support.wdc.com they have all the warranty information you need and several softwares to do a check up to see ifs something technical that can be fixed.

Question: Need to set drive as slave, anyone know WD1600js jumper settings?
This is the primary drive out of one computer, I need to hook it up as slave on another so I can pull some data off before wiping it. Right now there is no jumper on, I'm assuming this is cable-select. I don't know which pins to jump for slave setting.
This is Western Digital Caviar SE 160G. Assume it sets the same as other WD drives.
i hope it's obvious that on this drive they didn't include a diagram anywhere. i remember all my old drives had one but i didn't memorize them.Answer: Look here It should tell you everything you need to know.

Question: new camera(manual)-NEED HELP-Light meter?
ok so i picked up a manual Minolta camera with back, nice strap, leather case, flash, and large lense at a garage sale for my photo class,
question is, when using the light meter, it says 'M' at the top (in red) then there is a red mark on the shutter speed im using and below a red mark on the aperature im using.
(The meter goes down the side so i can see what aperature and shutter speed im at in the view finder).
Its all red and i cant get it to say anyhting else but 'M'.Anyone know what 'M' means? or is the camera just boken
P.S. no manual came with it.
Its a Minolta x-370Answer: Your nice Minolta camera has a model number ... let us know what it is and we can help you better.
Your camera may need a new battery for the light meter to work. The "M" may be telling you the battery is dead. It uses a mercury battery which was banned many years ago, so you will have to find a replacement. Until then you can use the "sunny 16" rule ... 1/ISO of the film you are using at f/16 in bright sun.

There is a red mark next to the distance index on the lenses focusing that is where you would "re-focus" if you were using IR film.

Question: camera problems????????????????????
i have a MINOLTA camera and the light meter. is kinda different.. it flashes numbers how do i work it??
there is no + or -
its just down arrow or up arrow and flashes numbers
also there is an "M" at the top of the meter in red. and then it flashes numbers. and many many numbers.Answer: + means overexposed
- means underexposedthe numbers are by how many stops it is.
