Question: Good paces to have a blues singer’s portfolio photo shoot in TN?

I have a friend coming to town in a couple weeks and she’s insistent upon using me for her photo shoot. I’m a novice with two manual 35mm SLR’s: a Nikon F2 Photomic and a Minolta HTsi (with dedicated flash). This is just a hobby for me and I’m not nearly creative/talented enough in the field to carry this task on my own. Any ideas as to good locations?

As a corollary, does anyone know if it’s possible to access the old abandoned TN State Prison? It would make a pretty interesting place to take at least some pictures.

Answer: Where in TN are you looking at shooting? I was in Nashville once and thought the small studio where Elvis recorded was an interesting place, since it’s in some ways non-descript, but has a place in history of huge significance.

Question: How do I install a flash and everything it needs on a basic Nikon F2 Photomic 35mm SLR camera?

I have everything that comes on the normal Nikon F2 Photomic SLR but no hot shoe, coupler, sync switch, wires, or any of that stuff, none of which I know is necessary. So yeah, any list of stuff needed and recommends on how to install/set them up would be great.

Answer: The hot shoe adapter is called an AS-1, for a Nikon F, and F2. Plus the flash should be auto but not dedicated a good cheap flash is Vivitar 283, or 285 HV

Question: What’s my Nikkormat FTN camera worth?

I purchased a Nikkormat FTN SLR camera back in 1974. The camera is in real good condition and I was wanting to find out how much it might be worth today. What would be the best way to sell it? How do I find collectors?

Answer: Do you have a black body, or a chrome body? A black ranges between $50-$300, and a chrome ranges $50-$150 of course it all depends on condition etc.

Question: What is the best choice among these three movies from the camera?

I am a photographer looking for a new camera and need help choosing that I will buy (for now). I'm considering getting the other two later, but I'm looking for something for my photography classes next semester. My three choices are Nikkormat FTN Nikkormat Nikkormat FT3 Em If you have any suggestions, let me know. I also prefer reasons why you think your choice is the best edition.: Thanks! I'm a little worried about not having a shoe FT.

Answer: We're headed back of these cameras. Repair of these is difficult if the shot is going and I would be willing to bet that the maximum speed of 1 / 1000 is only going to be 750 or less. Also I would like to see the body Nikon FM2 and Nikon EL. The same problems with the shutter but "younger" cameras. hot shoes are more valued in some respects because they are easy to break with heavy flash units, so I almost always used an L bracket with a PC cable to the latest TTL systems. Now I use a cable TTL camera with the L-bracket The old school, what I can tell, I'm pretty old. If I had to return to manual Nikon film cameras I would go for F3 body. Yes it will cost more and I find one in great shape. I would like to be cut and dry as to what to get for you.
