Question: Best extra Lenses compatible to mount on Canon EOS DSLR Rebel XSi to take good photos- price no bar?
Answer: If money is no object go for the new 800mm it is only $12,000.00. If you don't like it I wouldn't mind giving it a try.
Seriously though figure out what it is that you like to shoot and get the lenses that will help you achieve this. The best lenses will be Canon's L series professional lenses. If these are to much find the fastest lens you can afford. Below is a list of lenses for different situations. I hope this helps.Portraits: 50mm F1.8, 1.4 or 1.2 L
Macro: 100mm F2.8,
Landscape: EFs 10-22mm. This is the best lens for your camera. The other wide angle lenses were designed for the full frame cameras and on your camera wont be wide enough because of the crop factor.
Telephoto Zoom: 70-300mm F4-5.6 IS, 70-200mm F4L, 70-200mm F2.8L IS
General Purpose 28-135mm F3.5-5.6 IS USM

Question: What's best overall lens For Canon Eos 400D / Rebel XTi Digital Camera?
I am getting ready to purchase a Canon EOS 400D / Rebel XTi Digital Camera and can't decide which lens to get. The lens that it comes with doesn't zoom enough for me. I typically take pictures of my kids- and I want something versatile so that I'm not having to switch lenses all of the time. Any suggestions?
Answer: Not quite as much of a wide angle, the Canon Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Autofocus Lens (2007-$1,060) is a pretty good all-around lens. This review says, "If I had only one lens, this would be the one."

If the "L" lens is too rich for your blood, maybe the Canon Zoom Super Wide Angle EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Autofocus Lens is a good choice at $515. At B&H Photo, 15 reviews gave it an average of 4.6 out of 5.

Question: Can I put my lens Sigma SA7 (camera) on my digital EOS 350D?or is there a difference between digital and film lenses?
Answer: In short: No. The media are similar but not identical, and there is no adapter for estimate the Sigma SA Canon EF mount. Adapters are available for some conventional lenses (mainly Contax, Zeiss, etc.) to mate with Canon, but are available that because these "old school" wide angle lenses often exceed the image quality range available in modern Canon lens angle (a known weakness of Canon's line). In addition, if a target is adapted, is lost ALL automatic functions (AF, etc.). Sigma SA mount is an electronic circuit, which means that hypothetically if it was suitable, you lose the ability to control the aperture size. You would be able to take "Open". So even if you wanted to build a custom adapter (a proposal in a timely and difficult) the final result would not be worth it.
