Question: Sony Cybershot DSC-H50 or DSLR?

i was thinking of investing in a good camera and came across the Sony Cybershot DSC-H50 and i thought it was sort of like DSLRs and plus it had 15x optical zoom.
but i dont know,is a DSLR alot better than the Sony Cybershot DSC-H50?price is not a factor.
could anyone tell me which is better for me?im just starting out in photography and im going on holiday soon and want to use the camera to take pictures of the scenary.

Answer: There are three huge differences in a P&S camera like the H50 and a DSLR like the Nikon D40, Canon 400D or Sony A200.

* The size of the sensor on P&S cameras are over 15 times smaller than the above DSLR’s
* All the settings on a P&S camera are automatic. DSLR’s are fully adjustable cameras and can shoot in Program mode (a lot like a P&S camera), aperture and shutter speed priority and manual
And perhaps the most important,
* There are lenses available from fisheye to extreme telephoto … not available on any P&S camera.

I will give you one guess which camera has the potential of producing the highest quality images

IF price is not a factor? Go into a camera store and hold a Nikon D3 in your hands and test out a couple of different lenses from wide angle, standard, macro to telephoto. At present it has the best reputation as a pro digital camera that is affordable.

Answer: All three are good, and it would be best to do your own research here. Each boy fan of Nikon will tell you to go Nikon. The Canon fanboys will tell you to buy Canon. Each has advantages and disadvantages, but some can do things the other can not. I am Sony Alpha, and I can say that Sony may be new in the game, but they are a giant in the camera world. Sony supplies the image sensors and LCD screens that you see on almost all Nikon digital SLR. Almost every camera manufacturer, either compact or SLR camera has an image sensor used in Sony their cameras. Sony makes cameras for TV and great movies. Sony is the only company that can make a digital SLR without any outside help. On the road, reflex Sony digital camera, anti-shake so that each lens is stable. Canon and Nikon make the goal, and not every lens is anti-vibration. All my first stable, Canon and Nikon do not even stable prime lenses. Sony is the only device that can do in camera HDR without a tripod. Pentax K 7, he has but you must use a tripod. Canon and Nikon do not even offer. Search on your own. View photos and features, take your sweet time, it is no need to rush. Question: I’m looking for a zoom lens for my Canon EOS 350D. Not too expensive. Many have poor reviews. Help.?

I have the Canon EOS 350D with basic 18-55mm lens. I’m thinking of getting a zoom, and am looking for advice…..at this stage (I’m a beginner) I’m not going to splash out on the more expensive IS range, but rather one of:

Canon EF 55-200 f/4.5-5.6 2 USM

which seems to have the best reviews…..two other lenses with greater zoom, but which seem to get poor reviews are:

Canon EF90-300mm f/4.0-5.6 USM Zoom Lens

and the

Canon EF75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 III Zoom Lens

Answer: I have this camera. I got a SIGMA 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 APO DG zoom lens for it and it works a treat. I find it fairly easy to understand and operate, and have had no problems with it.
(sorry, I don’t recall how much it cost).

Question: Help Canon lenses? That 75 to 300 or 55 -250 m from the lens?

I am a recreational photographer seeking to update my computers. In the moment I 350D Kit Lens 18 -55 m and 50 m f1.8 want a telephoto with a budget trip. I was looking EF70 – 300 III EFS55-250 IS USM. What should I be receiving, I am 55 -250 lending? Any good alternative for the same price range? I also have a wide angle lens and canon 10 to 20 research seems the best option. Any suggestions? I also have to buy a tripod, flash and a new bag. 40D And for Christmas … LOL thanks guys … I just do more research and I think that might be looking at the top of the L series range The EF 24-70/2.8L is definitely caught my interest, but it could be a trade off with my 40D. What is what you think.

Answer: I have a 70-300 and sometimes I wish it were longer. I even do not miss the gap 55-70. Also I have the 18-55 and 50 f/1.8. Go with higher focal length. I have not had any problems with this. And I always Canon but if your just a casual shooter, marks out to serve well. Regarding flash, I have the 430EX. Works great on camera. But I'm trying to lose the camera with flash, Flash 580exII or a third party would be better. Tripods Arent under $ 100 U.S. worthwhile. Get a good one. The bags are bags. Is likely to buy a few. Get a room that has enough to add more lenses (or 40D).
