Flash Light Bounce Diffuser for Canon Speedlite 320EX |
Question: Canon Speedlite 430ex ii: what's the best diffuser to use with this flash?
i kind of like the cloud, cone shaped one..
Answer: Remember that diffusers don't make your light source any bigger (which is what creates softer shadows) - you need larger modifiers than that which will mean using the flash off camera.
All the 'cloud' does is turn your flash into a bare bulb source which sends light everywhere. it's fine for bouncing off walls/ceiling if you're indoors but does sod all outdoors where you have no surfaces to bounce from.

52mm IR 950nm Infrared Filter Suit Fr Camera Nikon Sony |
Question: What is the price of a fairly good Infrared Filter to fit a Nikon D40 DSLR?
I want fairly good quality along with a fairly good price. Must fit a nikon D40.
Oh my...let me clear this issue up. An IR filter restricts normal light so that IR light is more noticeable.Answer: Well, which lens do you have? Look at the lens filter diameter. Then you can go onto eBay and do a search for an infrared filter in the right diameter. Those prices are very low; just choose the IR wavelength you want to have pass through. The sensor itself has an IR blocking filter, so exposure times will be very long. I suggest around 720 nanometers; 900 nanometers and up likely will be completely blocked.
