Question: Cheap digital camera that works at night and with a Mac?
I am a senior in college and facebook has gotten really popular.
Everyone has hundreds of cool pictures and I have 9.
So I have decided it is time to buy a digital camera.
I am a student so I am semi-impoverished.
It needs to be cheap.
It needs to work at night.
It absolutely must work with mac. I do not have access to PC.
What should I buy? Where?
Link me if you can please. THANKS!
Answer: Go to shutterbug.com and look at their review of five 10 megapixel digicams in the Sept. 2007 issue. You can also read reviews of digital cameras at steves-digicams.com.
By "It needs to work at night" what exactly do you mean? Many digital cameras have a Night Scene setting which usually involves using the flash. If you're interested in available light night photography without flash that's a completely different subject. For that you'll need a camera that allows full Manual Mode control, a tripod and a cable release. Or plan on shooting at very high ISO settings and losing image quality.
Regardless of which camera you buy, plan on sitting aside some time to read and study the Owner's Manual. Then read and study it again. Become completely familiar with the settings and controls. Practice using them until you're as comfortable with your camera as you are with a knife and fork.
Good luck!

Question: Can someone tell me what these filters do?
I need to know what these filters do. What do they make the picture look like and what all I can do with them?
The filters are:
Color Conversion
Neutral Density
Enhancing
PolarizingAlso, is there a filter that will bring out certain colors and make all of the colors look brighter? Thanks for any help!!
Answer: Color Conversion filters change the color temperature. Basically it's what changing the white balance does. You can get warmer or cooler looking pictures with it.
Neutral Density filters reduce the amount of light passing through the camera lens without changing the color of the scene. This filter is especially useful in bright light conditions. Allows proper exposure at a wider lens opening when reducing depth of field to highlight a key subject by making the foreground and/or the background out of focus. A slower shutter speed can be used to produce blurred motion effects.
Enhancing filters, also known as a 'didymium' filters, are used to enhance red, orange and brown subjects to give more color saturation and contrast, whilst having very little effect on other colors. It can be used in many situations such as architecture where certain building features need emphasizing, or for landscapes to enhance foliage and rocky features.
Polarizing filters filter light rays which are reflected by any surface become and are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. Circular polarizing filters have the same effect, but it is important that you choose the correct version for your camera. They allow you to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass, etc. They also enable colors to become more saturated and appear clearer, with better contrast. This effect is often used to increase the contrast and saturation in blue skies and white clouds.

Question: Need C # (Sharp) Help?Okay, I recommended an exam in 2 weeks and my tutor, we make an application familiar to make ourself with C #. It is optional but I would like to try it. Can someone please give me some tips about it? Or even some tutorials on these concepts would helpful. It is essentially a small Photoshop application in C # that this: (a) open and save the image file and quit the application (b) Solve some Photo-processing and clear the screen at any time. (C) Show the detailed information about the image and zoom images from 50% to 500% in increments of 50 years. (D) Perform other color processing operators on the photos such as: a. Apply red, green and blue filter b. Contact the contrast and brightness operations c. Perform a Grayscale conversion or inversion of the image. (E) the size of the photo, rotate and flip photo and crop the image (f) adding tags to the photo, such as text or Forms or other photos. How do I get there? Can someone help me?
Answer: Ok, you want to make a window-based application. Most functions for image processing in GDI + is included so you can become familiar with them. For undo / redo, only encapsulate each step in a class the lower classes, a generic class, the "undo ()" and "redo ()" functionality (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Command_pattern). The part about info pic is probably a quick search for "EXIF GDI +" on google
