Question: how to remove light bulb?I followed a flexible light in my living room and one bulb has gone, my problem is, it is so difficult to reach inside the body that holds the bulb, can not get a good grip of the bulb I can only touch the surface of the bulb and there is no way for me to get off ..... suggestions?
Answer: I installed several lighting fixtures with MR 16 low voltage halogen lamps and they came with an installation tool. It's like a sucker. You attach the cup to the surface of the lamp, making it easy to install / remove the lamp. Check Home Depot or Lowes.

Question: Determine radius from arc?
I want to play with a solar project. Here are some hypothetical numbers for my question: I have a mirrored peice of plexiglass that is 36" wide. I place it in a frame that is 24" wide so that it is bowed into an arc. How do I mathematically determine the diameter of the hypothetical circle and thus determine the radius (light focal point distance)? Trial and error would be easy enough, but I want to know how to do the math.
Answer: First of all, I'm not sure plexiglass is that flexible. Second, I don't see how you expect to bow it without making it buckle. Third, you're talking as if this 3-dimensional sphere section were actually a 2-dimensional arc that could be bent like that, but for what practical purpose? The equation for a sphere in Cartesian coordinates is x²+y²+z²=r². You know x and y, but you don't know z or r. However, you also know z-z' and r-z', where z' is the distance from the plane of the frame to the origin.

Question: First surface mirrors: kaleidoscope people, need to cut sheets of mirror 12 "x 24", the best places? cheaper?I found several places online, I'm not making kaleidoscopes. are these sheets of 100% in total and flat, like a normal mirror would without pre-marked cuts or holes in the front or back? "What exactly should I be looking for in terms of keywords?" They are acrylic / plexi mirrors like this with the reflection on the surface, even if not tagged as "front surface, first surface? I prefer acrylic / perspex if this would be strong and straight rather than a common glass shop would probably together with regular glass? I greatly appreciate if someone can help with any or all of these questions.
