Question: Blurr Images with 3x Tele-lens (Sony DSC V1)?

I recently bought 3X Tele Lens Kit for my Sony DSC V1. With this new lens, my images from the camera not focus and gives me often blurred images. Can someone explain me what was wrong with the camera and how to fix it? I'm good pictures when I am not 3X tele lens on it. Please advice.

Answer: Perhaps the effect of blurring due to camera shake? The effect of camera shake is amplified by the long telephoto lens. If this is indeed the case, I suggest to set the shutter speed faster, or use a tripod to help balance the camera.

Question: I have just bought the Canon IXUS 970 IS after reading good reviews… but now having read some more…?

… I am concerned whether I have made the right choice? I really only need this for taking point and click photos on holiday but as an upgrade from a 7.1 cybershot which i broke. I guess i wanted better quality photos for nature and scenic shots as well as taking good photos at night- something my sony was not very good at! I also wanted a good investment, something i would not need to upgrade for at least a couple of years or so. A lot of reviews said this camera was pretty mediocre and it’s worth getting a cheaper model. I did like the appeal of the 5x optical zoom and image stabilisation. Does anyone own one of these or could anyone share their opinion of what they think of the camera e.g. pros and cons?

Answer: I have used only Canon for more than 10 years already with 5 different cameras.

I would get the SD1100, it’s cheap and compact.
If you want better pictures and movie, get the Canon G7 or G9 (G10 does not have HD movie)
If you want compact and great movie/photos get the new SD780 that’s coming out.

Question: With my digital camera under water (Sony Cybershot)?

I just got a Sony Cybershot W110 and want it for use ordered use under water when I go on holiday. I would say to take pictures to 2m deep in the water, but I'd need something to protect the camera. Are there any Kits you could recommend, it would be safe for me to take pictures under water?
