Question: What type of memory card do I need for a Canon G2?
I need to buy a CF card for my Canon G2. I read that there are 2 types - type 1 and type 2. Which one do I need to get? Also is there a recommended brand and is there a limit to the memory size that will work (I read somewhere that above a certain amount of memory might not work on older digital cameras due to the different file system?). Ideally I would like to get a card at 4GB or above and no less than 1GB. Thanks for any advice.

Card size: You may find it difficult to find cards smaller than 2 gb, the sometimes cut off when it comes to card sizes cameras will use, however call Canon to find out for sure. I have one of the first Nikon D100's made and it uses 8 gb cards with no problems. 800.OK-CANON
Since the USB port on your camera is the old USB 1.0 (1.5Mbit/sec), you will find that spending under $10 for a USB 2.0 (480Mbit/sec) card reader will speed file copying to your computer much more efficient.
