I don't see any problem with it. Someone I know took his Red One camera on a plane (and that thing is huge). The security guys took it out for a look, and were cool with it.
If you have to put it in your check baggage, make sure you pack it carefully. It's camera case will definately not be enough, even if its a hard case. Maybe put it in it's case, then put it's case in a cardboard box, with bubble wrap and that foam popcorn stuff as a buffer.
But I don't see any problem taking it on your carry on.
EDIT: If you mean to do some shooting in the plane, that may not work cuz a lot of cameras can't handle the air pressure of those elevations.

Question: What is the best HD camera / HQ camera with still images?I want to buy a new camera / camcorder that takes HD video and HQ photos. Please recommend one that fits the following features ... 1. HD Video 2. HQ images (at least 5 MP) 3. Less than $ 500 4. It would be nice if it came with a memory integrated (as of 4 GB or 8 GB) 5. Rechargeable battery. I watched the HD version of the Flip video camera, but says nothing about still images, it takes still images? Thanks
Answer: I introduce Sony HDR-CX100 want about $ 424. Its full function, but you have 4 MP image acquisition.

Question: I have a jvc everio hard disk camcorder. i uploaded the digital photo navigator, but how do i upload the pics?
I have a jvc everio hdd camera/camcorder. it can take videos & pictures in high def. I uploaded the whole digital photo navigator disk it came with, but i have no clue how to upload the pictures into a folder or something. HEEELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPP
Answer: I believe you have to to set the camera on Photo before connecting to your computer. Then using the digital photo navigator program to access the images.

Question: How to import video from a JVC Everio camcorder in iMovie '09?When I connect the camera and select the playback mode PC, rather than open a window for import into iMovie, it opens a window for import into iPhoto. When I launch iMovie, no import window appears (although all ay video tutorials which you should) and if I try to import from camera, opens a window to the built in camera, rather than the Everio. Definitely not intuitive! How do I to import the video? Thanks!
Answer: Make sure the camera is on and in playback mode before connecting it to the MAC. We hope that you are using a FireWire cable, USB but can be an option. Then launch iMovie and it should detect the camera and launch the import window in iMovie. If you still have problems, restart your Mac and try this new process. If all else fails, try to change the playback setting on the camera - is to say, do not use the how "PC" and see how it works. Good luck.
