Answer: does it have a usb slot? hook up a usb cable to it. if not, then you cant upload anything. try to put the disc in your computer

Answer: Both are good Marks if it were my decision I would probably go with the Sony. I have a Sony camcorder and never had a problem with it yet.

Question: What do I use to watch 8mm camcorder tapes on a VCR?

I don’t have the camcorder just the tape.

Answer: It can’t be done.
VCRs operate VHS tapes. An adaptor will allow an old format VHS-C, but trying to get an 8mm tape to play on a VHS VCR would be like putting a DVD into a CD player.
You will have to borrow an 8mm camera and dub it to VHS.

My parents have tons of old camcorder tapes and not the camera. They can not watch the video so I want them converted to DVD for them. I have no idea how to do this so that any answer would help!

What you do is mail them the tapes and will be converted to digital for you. The cost is $ 7 per tape for video transfer, but they are running a promotion at this time when the conversion is free if you get a premium account ($ 100 for a year of archiving video.) You can get DVDs back now or you can use their online application form to see your work online to share, edit and create DVDs. Great works for the combination of footage from multiple tapes and the creation of themed movies like "Birthday Party". DVDs are $ 15 and burned them.
