Question: I cant Decide which digital camera to buy?
On the one hand there is Sony, on the other hand i found Ricoh Caplio R4.
The Ricoh boast geat features like 7x optical zoom 1 cm Macro, and its still very compact, etc.... but i havent even heard of the company before.
The problem with the sony is, that optical zoom is 3x on all the compact cameras that i found.
Can anybody advise me, and plz give some reasons as well.
Also recommend a camera.
Iam a photography enthusiast, who wants advanced features such as manual focus, apperature,etc and want reasonable optical zoom, fast response time, great battery life.
Help!!! there is too much information out there to decide.

Question: Camcorder & Shotgun Mic Shopping Guide (2)?If the question in a bit 'confused, there are links below for products. The was trying to buy a cheap camcorder and was looking at the Cannon FS200 and 8GB Sony Handycam (DCR-SX41). I too am looking to buy a shotgun microphone too, I found the Sennheiser MKE 400 fits Canon FS200. The problem is that the combination is expensive for my budget. I prefer to buy Sony Handycam, so if anyone knows Economic a camcorder / mic combination of rifle, a response would be greatly appreciated. Answer: The disc camcorder Sony DCR-SX41 is difficult does not have a microphone jack. The Canon FS200 is about as good as it gets in that price range. Frankly, the saved files to the Sony and Canon are the same, but the flash memory is much more flexible - not the hard drive camcorders are known problems with vibration and altitude - and when you drop your camera, you will not have recovery problems data that is difficult camcorders DIS (number of flash memory, take the memory card and use another similar camera - with the cam disk drive, send the camera and internal hard drive to DriveSavers. Ans when filling the hard drive ... what happens? With flash memory, just use another memory card empty. If you want a better video compression for at least the digital video stream, you * should * be at least investigate the tape-based miniDV cameras - in this case, the Canon ZR960 (ha a microphone jack, too).
