Question: Leica V-Lux 1?

I had some quotes cheap this camera and am considering making my wife a Leica, Nikon has two, Canon, Minolta, and a bunch of vintage cameras. They are all but 35m of a Nikon S9 pocket to travel with my children. She always says that Leica are Lengendary well I want to get his style SLR. She is a professional photographer and has worked with most films of his life and receives now digital. Some say it's the same camera as the Panasonic DMC-FZ50, but I think Leica will hold its value more than the Panasonic. Comment.

Answer: IMO your best choice is always the M8 – it is a continuation of the M series which began in 1954. Classic. Leica has not really been Leica since the mid-1970s when she bought cameras from Minolta. The Minolta XE-7 has been amended by Minolta with a Leica lens mount system and Measuring and sold as the Leica R-3. Later, the Minolta XD-11 has undergone the same transformation and became the Leica R-4 and R-5.

Question: Can I use a macro adapter lens to a 75-300mm lens for better macro quality?

I have a Raynox MSN-202 which I attached to my 18-55mm lens that came with my Canon XS and when I take macro pics I have to go REALLY CLOSE to the subject to focus. So I want to know that I get an 75-300mm telephoto lens and attach the Raynox lens can I take a pic without going super close to the subject? I read that to take macro pics without having to stand close to the subject is to buy a macro lens that with a longer focal length. So basically I want to know if that is possible if I get a telephoto lens and then attaching the macro lens. Another question I have is that what if I get a cheap set of extension tubes to attach to the 18-55mm and then add the Raynox lens will that give me better result as well?
Thanks for the advice, I am not ready to spend money on a dedicated macro lens yet. I will try extension tubes, any good suggestions on brands?

Answer: The cheap extension tubes are the way to go.

They do NOT interfere with the existing optics of your 18-55 mm lens. Add-on lens are going to introduce colour fringing and soft edges no matter what lens you stick it on.

The 70-300 mm was NEVER intended to be a macro lens

If you really, really need the stand off from your subject, you need a true macro lens like the EF 180 mm f/3.5 lens

Question: Which telephoto camera?

I have a Canon 20D digital SLR. One of the goals that I use is a 75-300mm telephoto lens standard that was originally supplied with a 300V Canon SLR film a few years ago. I'm trying to upgrade and buy a telephoto lens for my new Canon 20D. I am trying to get a goal that a decent 'step up' from that base in terms of quality, but nothing too high end (I did not fix the budget but I will pay a monthly one). I will slowly build from different manufacturers Canon. Can anyone recommend a specific target or even suggest any websites where people's buyer guides and reviews trustworthy?

Answer: Do yourself a favor do not buy that shit go to the range as Sigma lens L guns are super lucky to choose what to about 100-300 with stabilizer built a saw to go to £ 390 on ebay
