Answer: The charger is OK so far as the voltage is concerned, but you'll need a travel adapter to plug it in to the mains sockets, and they're not all the same across Europe. There's some useful information at the link, but a word of hard earned advice - buy your adapter before you start travelling!

Answer: No, you need an adapter. U.S. uses a frequency-60Hz. In Europe they use a frequency of 50Hz. Not the same. If you do not like fees and battery burst into flames

Answer: Under the contacts, on the side of the battery, there will be plus and minus signs (+/-)
+ is positive
- is negative

Answer: Yes, I know, probably on a Windows machine. I do not know about a Mac, but it should work on a Mac too!
