Question: Does the Canon PowerShot SD750 run out of battery very quickly?
I have been using the OLD Canon PowerShot S50 and am very fed up with it because the goddam battery runs out after like THIRTY MINUTES use for gods sake… thats why I got myself an extra lithium battery for that whenever I go out taking photos and unfortunately BOTH my batteries wont function normally I think I use my digital camera too much… batteries eventually die dont they? So instead of getting another ridiculously expensive cell Im gonna get a brand new camera and choosing between SD750 and SD1000. Do they run out of battery very quickly? And if I will use my camera every day will the battery wear out and die very quickly? I am far from a tech or photography person so can you help me with that? Thanks a lot guys!
30 mins after FULL CHARGE I meanAnswer: The SD750 and SD1000 are almost identical cameras (except for a few minor differences) and they use exactly the same battery.
When fully charged (which only takes around 1 hour 30 minutes) the battery will only allow up to 210 shots.
To conserve battery life, it’s always a good idea to turn your LCD screen off in-between shots and don’t use the flash too often or spend too much time reviewing your images because the LCD uses most of the battery power. Turning the LCD off as much as you can, will allow much more than 210 shots. If your camera includes a viewfinder, you can use that to compose your images instead, rather than rely wholly on the LCD. This is a good option if the battery is running low and you desperately need to take more shots. Because you don’t get much warning.
Now, the SD750 has no viewfinder, so you have to use the LCD to compose your images.
On the other hand, the SD1000 does have a viewfinder (which you might not use too often on a small camera like this, but it’s there if you need it).Out of those two, the SD1000 is the better option because it has the viewfinder…but for an even better one, choose one which has a viewfinder and an image stabilizer (IS).
The easiest thing to do is make sure you give the battery a top up charge when you want. It doesn’t have to be fully drained. I suppose any battery has a limit to how many times it can be charged…it won’t last forever. But these lithium batteries do seem to have a good life.

Question: What type of lithium-ion battery would I need for a Kodak ZD8612 is?I bought the camera for my niece, is the 17th But even with rechargeable batteries, it can not have many photos before they die. She wants to go to the zoo and take some pictures, so I told her I would it a lithium-ion battery to buy to go with him, but I was spoiled for choice and wanted to know what would be the best pick. thanks: D
Answer: You will notice that the Z8612 does not use Li-ion batteries. In the future http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/compare_post.asp?method=sidebyside&cameras=kodak_z8612is&show=all Her niece will want to make sure she buys a camera that uses them, but now they have all their charge NiMH batteries at night before you head for the zoo and also bear a handful of AA alkaline batteries back on. One of the things that the battery can cause early failure of the system is poor energy management. The LCD consumes a lot of energy, so turning off the camera at the end of each firing cycle is critical. Showing off pictures to friends via the LCD can power needed to operate the camera use. Flash is also a heavy user of battery power. The AA lithium batteries are not rechargeable. The best solution would be the Kodak Li-Ion kit on this link http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=481&pq-locale=en_US

Question: Why can not I buy AA or AAA lithium-ion batteries?I looked and looked and looked. Lithium-ion batteries are the BEST for rechargeable, but I can not one that they too refer to the AA, AAA, C or D or sells the charger. The only ones I was in a camera battery or something else. It seems sell them to billions of them, if someone would offer them and them. Thanks for the responses I received. However, I found the batteries with the links shown, 3.6 volts and 1.5 volts is not found in the standard AA, AAA batteries. It seems to me that would be 3.6 volts to fry my camera and maybe my flashlight. Does anyone know?
Answer: Check the Philips U.S. website. When I bought my Nike Philips MP3 player, it came with the rechargeable battery and charger, both of which Philips.
