Question: I have an Olympus Stylus 750 if I just buy a usb cord can I charge it that way or do I need to buy a charger?
Answer: Unfortunately I don't know of any cameras (the 750 included) that charge through a USB port. You will need to buy a charger for it. You should be able to find one on the Olympus website.
Your camera should have come with a USB cord, and a charger. If it didn't, you might want to return it to the store that you got it from and get another one.

Question: I have an older model camera (Olympus Stylus 740), going to Italy on Saturday and can not find my charger?Recently (2 weeks) moved back home from school for the summer. I packed my stuff in boxes and sent most of them and took the rest home. A few days later, I received the 6 cases who had sent me. However, it was not until today that I realized that I need 1 or 2 boxes. I have a total of 8 now, and vaguely remember having 10 when he left school. The problem is that I'm going to Italy on June 5 (two days) until 4 July and I can not find the charger for my camera. I also was not a box containing the shipper, or lost the charger. As I spent all day searching without luck, I have to consider my options. What should I do? a) call housing department of the school to see if I went to box in the bedroom? b) buy a new camera (the camera is old anyway)? c) buy a new camera use the charger from the camera and again when he returns? d) wait until you do anything and borrow a friends camera? any suggestions?
Answer: Well, given your time constraints, these are the things that I would if I were you - in this order: 1. Call the school - this is free, except possibly bill long distance unless you have a calling plan at national level. This is, of course, if the school is close enough I would have time to recover before the trip. ... if no luck ... 2. Bring your camera or battery to your local Radio Shack. They carry a wide variety of boots, some of them specific to certain devices, other universal. You can find just what you need. It is probably too expensive, like most things in Radio Shack, but is likely to cost less than a new camera. ... if this is a lack of new ... 3. I then consider buying a new camera. Going for a month trip abroad seems I would have many photo opportunities. Missing them would be wrong. Using the camera from a friend? If you have a friend who had borrowed one for - maybe, but I prefer to have my own .... Good luck, and enjoy your trip LEM.

Question: What kind of double AA batteries should i buy that will last the longest for my digital camera?
My older digital camera, a Fuji FinePix Reuires 2 double AA batteries to function and take pictures. Over the years i have tried numerous different brands such as Energizer, Duracell, Sunbeam, Fidelity & Panasonic's AA alkline & lithium batteries for this camera. They all seem to runout/expire very quickly. What should i try next? Are there any other double AA batteries by companies that i have not tried that you could reccomend?
Answer: Well since a digital camera takes so much power to run, using regular non rechargebul battries will run out faster try energizer rechargabuls, i have a bunch adn it takes with occasional use about a month to 3 week to die, they last really long.

Question: Fuji Finepix s1000fd/Battery life?It is a 2-part question. First, does anyone have this unit? If yes, what do you think of this? My second question is about battery life. Is it bad for this unit? I have heard of rechargeable batteries (NiMH ?)... what are those?
Answer: When it comes to digital cameras, the best are Li-ion battery. The wedge their fresh longer and can last more than 5 years if you use the charger made by the company that manufactures the camera. Unfortunately AA NiMH batteries and even are not as reliable as the Li-ion. So if you can find a nice Fujifilm Finepix Li-ion battery that uses your experience of battery life will be much better. The Another part of this equation is the energy management. Leave the LCD off unless you absolutely need. Turn off the camera when you're done shooting. Try not to use the device as an image viewer ... wait until you can show your pictures on a bigger screen ... as your computer.
